Russia is fighting not with the entire army, but only with the contractual (контрактной) part. The main purpose of the Special Military Operation (SMO) of the Russian Federation is the liberation of Donbass. Zelensky announced that he was not ready and did not want to talk to Russia; well, he was not ready, and it was not necessary. For decades, the idea of the collapse of Russia has been cultivated in the West. The SMO is not some kind of warning, but a special military operation. During it we see attempts to carry out terrorist attacks. We really respond to these with restraint, but only for the time being. Russia has shown restraint so far in reacting to Ukrainian attacks on infrastructure and terrorist attacks. The West tried to create an anti-Russian enclave in Ukraine to collapse Russia. The SMO was started to prevent this. The AFRF launched several sensitive warning strikes on Ukraine and promised an even more serious response in the future. Russia generally agreed that Ukraine’s security should have been guaranteed by major powers, but these guarantees were shelved. The former colonial powers of Europe are used to living at everyone else’s expense, and still cannot get rid of this paradigm in their politics.
