i happen to have picked up Zanoni in a second hand Katmandu bookstore, age 20 in '79 and read many of his novels in the decades thereafter [much impressed, almost always; i was a big fan of Donleavy too, more into 'fantastiKinetix'], then i first learnt about systematizin syncretists in the home of Dan Winter [stuffed w unpub'ed manus].
One of them, Jose Arguelles, later Valum Votan, an art history prof who went on to lead a globalist cult w rainbow family type following [leaching off and/or guiding them, jury out]. Matt throws shade upon all that unripe grippieshit ... too rough and abrasive a scrub i feel but oh well ..

Matt spends time on Blavatsky and Besant, much revered by JA [he died 2011, see medium.com/HarmonicFactor for updates, he promised to be back before the year 5000.

 B and B could not capture my interest .. but i did begin gathering my own savant collection. Nothing like it to prove specificity does not unify humans as much as 'play'm a[ ]part' [translit. from Dutch] with or without a wallop of novelty [i am fairly partial to the latter tho], ya schemes, plots and 'tragictouries' leave loads of dark spots that quickly turn 'freud on', very menacing indeed.
my advice: don't look for left brainy solutions like all them frenetic idyids Matt is on about do .. i doesn't at all get to the zio aspects oddly enuff.
